Dr. Neha is an Associate Professor at the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, where she has been teaching since 2011. She holds an LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. in Law from the University of Delhi. Her doctoral research, titled "Legal Protection of Persons with Physical Disabilities: National and International Perspectives," reflects her enduring commitment to advancing disability rights through legal scholarship and policy reform. Her areas of teaching and research include Disability Law, Human Rights, Family Law, Property Law, Contract Law, Women's Rights, Constitutional Law, and Access to Justice.
With over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, Dr. Neha has established herself as a distinguished academic and researcher through her scholarly contributions to contemporary legal discourse. She has authored numerous research papers and book chapters published in reputed national and international journals and edited volumes. She is the editor of the book Disability – A Journey from Welfare to Rights, which explores the
evolution of disability jurisprudence from a welfare-based approach to a rights-based framework. Her research focuses on disability rights, inclusion, gender justice, constitutionalism, and the protection of vulnerable and marginalized communities, with an emphasis on promoting inclusive legal systems and evidence-based policy reforms. Beyond her teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Neha has played an active role in academic administration and institutional development. She serves as the Convener of the Enabling Unit at the Campus Law Centre, where she works towards strengthening accessibility,
inclusion, and equal opportunities for students with disabilities. She has also served as an Adjunct Faculty at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, and is associated with the editorial boards of reputed law journals. She has actively contributed to several academic and administrative committees of the University of Delhi.
Dr. Neha has been invited as a resource person, speaker, reviewer, session chair, and evaluation panel member at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programmes. In recognition of her academic expertise, she has served as a Physical Session Chair and Evaluation Panel Member at the 11th World Disability and Rehabilitation Conference (WDRC 2026), Bali, Indonesia. Her research has been presented at various national and international academic forums, reflecting her commitment to advancing global dialogue on disability rights, human rights, inclusive healthcare, and social justice.
Driven by the principles of substantive equality, constitutional values, and human dignity, Dr. Neha's academic work seeks to bridge the gap between legal theory and practice. Through her teaching, research, publications, and institutional engagement, she continues to contribute to the development of inclusive legal education, disability-inclusive jurisprudence, and progressive legal and policy reforms at both the national and international levels.
